Mononykus

Mononykus

£270.00

Please note: this plush will ship from a different location to other Palaeoplushies products, so cannot be added to the same order as other items.

This charming pair of sitting Mononykus are inspired by the design seen in the ‘Deserts’ episode of Prehistoric Planet. Made by Leo (@thylacereal) from super soft faux fur and minky, filled with polyester stuffing and recycled plastic beans for weight and floppiness. Their mouths, noses and toes are hand embroidered, and their face markings have been carefully painted on without compromising softness.

This plush will come with a certificate of authenticity, detailing its species, the date it was made and proving that it is an original Paleoplushie handmade in Scotland by Leo.

This plush was sewn in a pet-friendly household (so be aware if you have a cat allergy).

As this is a handmade item; it is not for children under the age of 14 and is designed to be a collectable art piece for adults. As they are stitched mainly by machine, they won't fall apart if handled roughly but have not passed the relevant safety standards to be sold as a child's toy.

Plushie Dimensions: approx. 48cm nose-to-tail length, 21cm sitting height

Description: Mononykus was a small theropod dinosaur from Late Cretacious Asia, named for its single-clawed arms. In Prehistoric Planet, this dinosaur was depicted using its large claws and long tongue to excavate termite nests, and featured an owl-like facial disc which would enhance its sense of hearing to pinpoint its prey.
